Delete your TermIQ account
Last updated: October 18, 2026
You can delete your TermIQ account yourself in the Android app or on the website, or ask us by email. This page explains each way and what happens to your data: what changes right away, what we erase 30 days after the request, and what we keep.
1. In the Android app
- Open Settings and scroll down to Account actions.
- Tap Delete account, read the summary and tap Email me a code. We send a 6-digit code to the email address of your account. The code is valid for 15 minutes.
- Enter the code and tap Delete account. The app signs you out and confirms that the account is deleted.
If the code has expired, tap Send a new code. Requesting an email sign-in code in the meantime replaces the deletion code, so ask for a new one in that case too.
2. On the website
- Sign in and open Settings → Data & Privacy.
- Under Delete Account, choose Delete My Account.
- Confirm with your password or with a code we send to your email, then choose Delete Permanently.
On the same page, Download My Data gives you a copy of your account data before you delete it.
3. By email
If you cannot sign in any more, write to [email protected] from the email address of your account and ask us to delete it. We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours before we delete it.
4. What happens right away
- You can no longer sign in to the app or the website. The sign-ins you already have stop working at once, and the sign-in sessions with their IP address, device and approximate location are deleted.
- Your API keys are revoked and your agents are signed out: agents that use an API key or signed in with your account are disconnected and cannot connect again. Apps and browsers that are connected at that moment are disconnected as well.
- We stop sending notifications and emails to the account.
- A paid subscription is cancelled at once, so no further payments are taken.
5. What happens after 30 days
30 days after the request we erase or anonymize the personal data of the account:
- your email address (replaced by a placeholder), name, avatar and referral code;
- your password hash and the link to your Google sign-in;
- your billing profile (name, address, VAT number, phone) and your customer record at Stripe;
- web push subscriptions and the notification tokens of your devices;
- the names of your API keys, and the text and attachments of your support messages.
What remains:
- records of your agents, terminals and workspaces, attached to the anonymized account. Terminal content is end-to-end encrypted and cannot be read by us, but agent records keep the machine name, the operating system and the machine ID in plain text;
- your support tickets with their subject and the browser or device they were sent from, without the text of the messages;
- an entry on our waitlist (email address, name, IP address, browser), if you joined it before signing up;
- invoices and tax records that Stripe keeps for accounting.
Kept longer. As our Privacy Policy says: if you unsubscribed from our emails, your address stays on the suppression list so that we keep honoring the opt-out; the log of emails we sent keeps the recipient address for about 6 months after sending; audit logs, which can name the account by its email address, are kept for 12 months. Database backups can also hold a copy of the data until they are replaced in the normal backup rotation.
The 30-day period is the same as in our Privacy Policy.
