Storage and cookies we use

Strictly necessary storage

Strictly necessary

TermIQ does not set first-party tracking cookies. To keep you signed in, the app stores authentication tokens in your browser's localStorage. This is essential for the Service to work and cannot be turned off while you use the app.

Third-party flows

Optional

Cookies may be set by third parties only while you actively use their flow: Google during sign-in, Stripe on payment pages, and Cloudflare for security and delivery of the site. These are governed by those providers' own policies.

1. Our approach to cookies

We keep this simple: TermIQ does not use first-party cookies for analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking, and we do not run third-party analytics or ad trackers. The app keeps you signed in using your browser's localStorage, not cookies.

2. Authentication via localStorage

When you sign in, we store authentication tokens in your browser's localStorage so you stay logged in between visits. This is strictly necessary for the Service to function. Clearing your browser storage will sign you out.

3. Third-party cookies

Some third parties may set their own cookies only during their part of a flow:

Google — when you sign in with Google OAuth.
Stripe — on payment and billing pages, to process payments securely.
Cloudflare — to deliver and protect the site (security, performance).

These cookies are controlled by those providers under their own privacy and cookie policies.

4. Managing storage

You can clear cookies and localStorage at any time through your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge all offer this under Privacy settings). Note that clearing the strictly necessary storage will log you out and may break parts of the app until you sign in again.

5. Changes and contact

We may update this Cookie Policy and will update the "Last updated" date when we do. Questions: [email protected].
